Verse is
وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا
Translation:
And the mountains as pegs
Explanation:
In this verse, Allah is describing how He created the mountains as:
- *Pegs*: The word "أَوْتَادًا" (Awtaadan) means "pegs" or "stakes". Just like how pegs are used to hold something in place, Allah made the mountains to hold the earth in place.
- *To hold the earth stable*: The mountains act as anchors, keeping the earth firm and stable. This allows the earth to be a suitable place for humans and other creatures to live.
- *To prevent quaking*: The mountains also prevent the earth from shaking or quaking, making it a safe and secure place for its inhabitants.
By creating the mountains as pegs, Allah has:
- Demonstrated His power and wisdom in creating a stable and habitable world.
- Provided a safe and secure environment for humans and other creatures to live and thrive.
This verse is a great reminder of Allah's creation and provision, and can be used to teach others about:
- Allah's power and wisdom in creation.
- The importance of gratitude for the blessings we enjoy on earth.
- The role of the mountains in maintaining the earth's stability.
